Nice idea, very brave of you to do a text based adventure!
My only complaint is that it feels more like a "click this and then click this", because whenever I made a wrong choice, I had to restart from the beginning. Sometimes choices are count as incorrect even if they're tame (such as "Let Mercer talk" results in a game over). I feel that you could've expanded more on those sub-choices, rather than making only one "correct flow"
That said, I liked the vibe you were going for. Congrats on the submission! :)
