The art is very nice, and the mechanics of controlling the boat and its hook are fun. Although a little music and sounds would have greatly improved the experience.

Hmm, there is music and some sfx. Maybe you need to adjust the volume controls (press tab or escape to open settings).
Oh you're right, I think I had the volume on my headphones too low, there is music and sound effects!.
