I've just finished playing the last game. Whew!

Of the 18 original submissions, one was removed because it had completely ignored the game jam rules, two appear to be unfinished and the rest are minor masterpieces! I really mean that. Most of them need a little bit of work to remove minor bugs and some of the authors have already addressed a lot of issues.

When you consider that the game jam rules were pretty harsh, the authors have done a fantastic job coming up with original storylines and intriguing puzzles. It's even more amazing when you consider that some of the authors were first timers with Adventuron and/or first timers writing a text adventure. I think you should all be very proud of yourselves. I've really enjoyed playing your games over the last two weeks. The only downside is that you've made the judges' job really hard. I think they're going to have a hard time picking a winner.

I'd like to give a big thank you to Chris Ainsley for organizing the game jam and an equally big thank you to all those of you who took time out of your lives to write your adventure and/or participate in the forum. It's been a lot of fun and I'm now looking forward to the next one.

Thanks Garry.

Thanks for all your  forum posts, and for helping so many authors with your playtesting.

I said last time there would be no more jams, but I'm a sucker for punishment, so I'm going to say it again "There will be no more jams". You can take that to the bank the same as last time.

Good. I look forward to the next one.

I must say that the jams have been one of the best ways of promoting Adventuron, getting real authors using it, proving what a capable tool it is and getting feedback to you for updates and enhancements. People on Facebook groups (for example) quite often have nice things to say about Adventuron and it seems that, in most cases, their knowledge of Adventuron comes from the jams.
