Tbh I don't really "get" this game? Like, I know how the controls work and stuff, but I don't feel like the game provides me any motivation to play it. It seems like there might be a bit of a plot, but I don't feel drawn into it. Apparently going around and shooting things so that I can get items to give to people who treat me like an errand-boy is "friendship"? Idk it just feels like it's missing something.
Theme: doesn't really feel like Discovery at all.
Fun: there are a few parts that confuse me and make the game less enjoyable. As mentioned, there's the issue that nothing really pulls me in and keeps me hooked to keep playing. It was confusing how there were so many things in the environment that looked like they were things I could interact with (e.g., boxes) that I couldn't. Also, if I'm very low on health when I hit the checkpoint, then when I get back to the checkpoint after dying, I should get more health so I'm not immediately about to die again. I would have liked more frequent and/or more powerful healing items.
Controls: Space is usually used for jumping, so when there was a different key for jumping and space was used for something else, that really threw me off. Also jumping felt a little slow (jump height was fine). Everything else was good.
Graphics: didn't stick out to me as particularly amazing, but they looked good and the art style was appropriate for the game.
Audio: I liked the audio, especially the soundtrack! That slightly haunting (but not too overwhelming) fit nicely with the aesthetics of the game, particularly the bugs and cobwebs.
Originality: I can't think of a game quite like this, but the components of this game (fetching items, shooting things, killing to get items, and platforming) are fairly common.
