The idea is good, and the game itself is great, but the controls and hitboxes are a bit... off...
and for a platformer, not having precise controls can be game breaking. Other than that, the randomly generated levels are great, the cops feel fair, the dogos feel unfair, and the platforms sometimes letting you pass through them from below and sometimes not is frustrating.

The game has a few issues, but if you were to fix them, this would be a solid game! I also really like the permanent upgrades you can buy! Turn this platformer into a roguelite, really enjoyed that part of the game!

I already fixed most of your issues (including the semi solid platform bug), but of course I can't update the game because it's a game jam... xP

The reason the controls feel off is because you move slower to the right than to the left. This is to simulate running, instead of driving a car. (Wich means constantly driving forward, and only changing how FAST you move forward)
It's something you really gotta get used to. So I get why you feel this way! (Might actually change that)

Also, I was surprised you didn't mention anything about difficulty! Usually in these kind of games, the game goes faster and faster the longer you play. (I'm working on that right now.)

also i just want to say that the permanent upgrades almost werent a thing because playerprefs is hard to work with lol

I couldn't get far enough to see the change in speed. I only made it to the third, or fourth area before losing to something.
Also, you can upload a post-jam version of your game, as long as it's clear that it's a post-jam version and not the original.

And I probably need to get used to that movement system, but it just doesn't feel right...
Anyway, I would love to see an update with bug fixes! As long as you clearly state that it's not from the jam, and the original is still up there.

The change in speed isn't implemented yet. That'll be in the post-jam version.

I'm glad you enjoyed these aspects of the game!
