I do like the simplicity of this project.

A couple jump, few controls, and you have a little game that will make you keep trying a few times to get a higher score! And once you understand when to jump right, you can fit a few more spins than you'd expect into one try. I managed to get a high score of 350 from it!

I wasn't sure about the size of the sprites at the beginning, but fitting the whole slope into the screen gives some good sizing and contains the game rather well, I gotta say. I guess it's because like this you're less reacting to what comes up and more planning what you're gonna do when you get to a point of the slope.

The few tunes that play are also very nice and c64-ish, and it has that arcade "just try and try again to see how good you can get at it" feel that I can appreciate.

Overall, I like it!

Hi, thank you. I consider 350 currently as the max. score one can get, so congrats. 👍😁

I initially planned to have a longer track, with the camera following the player, but scrapped that due to time constraints. In the end I'm quite happy with it, for the reasons you mentioned. 😊

I grew up with the C64, so I wanted to get some of that nostalgia in. 😁
