Hello!

Oh, that's weird. I've googled it, and there are a few possibilities: first, it says that you might have downloaded the wrong version of the game for your system, so if you can, try running another (if possible). E.g. if you downloaded the "WIN" version, try the "PC" version. The other option is that your antivirus is blocking Ren'py (the engine the game was made in), so you can try whitelisting it. The next thing you can do is change the location of the downloaded game. Personally, I unpack (unzip) downloaded files on my desktop, and then put them in different folders manually. The last option I found, is that sometimes when your "user" name has some sort of non-ASCII character in it, and your system is set to an encoding that can't represent the characters in your name. But from the message error you posted, I think it's not your case. Well, if any of these help, let me know. In the meantime, I'll try to look for another solution.

Haha, I am glad you liked them! Oh, really? Wow, it's nice to hear, thank you! I am working on the next update, though it might take more time than this one since I'll be doing three routes. It should be done reasonably within the month, but I can't promise anything.

thank you so much for your help !!! i downloaded the pc version and another error jumped out and it's really weird because the first version of the game worked just fine idk what's going on sjkjf bUT anyway it worked when i opened the game directly from the lib>windows-i686 folder and i enjoyed your writing and art and i'm going to probably have a really hard time choosing a route on the next update, and of course take your time please don't feel pressured to do it fast, we'll wait happily for you and perfumare !!! <3

That is rather weird, yes. I have no idea what could be wrong but worry not, I am looking into this. In the meantime, I found two more tips if you'd like to try them out. One is quite simple, and you could try to change the "User permission" to full control. I assume trying to run the game as an administrator should work too? But don't take my word on that. The second tip is a bit more complicated. I can't confirm if the solution works since I have not encountered that problem myself, but if you could change the "Perfumare.py" file to "Perfumare.epy" that's supposed to help (?). If all these fail, all I can think of is maybe updating all drivers? Sorry, I can't be of any help in that matter, if I find something else, I'll be sure to let you know, though.

Thank you again! It's great to hear that you're enjoying the game! <3
