That looks really cool! The reason the pivot point of the wheels is not centered is because they have to attach to the side of vehicles, so it makes more sense to have it off-center. It's still centered in a way where the wheel can rotate, but for rotating the wheel (as in steering) it'll be offset which is the normal behavior of wheels in general.
