Thanks for posting! There's been a bunch of posts recently about this, so I added it above.
Currently, the time in between herds increases every time you upgrade your safehouse. We are also looking into other gameplay mechanics to directly effect the time between herds.

hello. I'm here because of an issue. the mission where I collect the kids, the teacher/bus driver asks for wood and a mushroom. I delivered both. however I lost the bus driver in the process of getting them to my cabin. so later I went back to retrieve the bus driver. when I went back he asked for another mushroom. so I went and got a mushroom but the bus driver did not take it. I really need help on this one.
