This is a great start for a first game! I'm not sure what bugs you have already found, but I came across one where only small guys would spawn, and when stacked would phase into each other. An nice take on the theme, with impressive art to boot. Smooth out the bugs, add some audio and a few more features and you might just have a game you can be really, really proud of!
