Yes, after you get to lv 2 and have meet Kuri, then you'll get an event to pop up in your neighborhood where Zorro tells you to come home. When he's there, there is a new option of "You wanted to see me Zorro?", where it will start the quest.

I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I get the first message and the dialogue asking him about a message from the park, he says he'll think of a favor for me to perform, and then I spend multiple days doing nothing but exploring the neighborhood waiting for that second call and nothing happens? Is it just bad luck with random chance

If you got a text from him in the park, then that's the text he sends to you some time after you met Kuri. The text he sends to you is in the neighborhood where he tells you, you need to start earning your keep. It's an automatic trigger as soon as you meet all requirements when you enter the neighborhood.

I really don't know how else to explain. Kuri is in the Park, I'm level 2, Zorro already called me a mooch but then told me he'd think of something for me to do, I've done the hang out events, but I can't trigger anything else.

The engine apparently made you go through multiple ones if you had questies with Kuri, so if you didn't actually get his event, it would mark you clear for his event but not have met him. I changed it just in case it was you had another quest there along with trying to meet Kuri.

Firstly, I'm really sorry for all the hassle, I'm just trying to get into the next chunk of the game. I've really been enjoying the scenes I have access too, which seems to be the majority for now.

Secondly, unfortunately Kuri doesn't seem to show up at all now when starting a new game. I managed to get to level 2 through Zorro, complete the initial hangouts with Trald and Gen, get Gen to agree to workout with me, and thoroughly explore both the Neighborhood and Park fighting even the Bulky Wolf and Boar.

And Thirdly, whatever change was made doesn't seem to have fixed anything with my existing saves. Kuri's and Zorro's events and missions still don't activate properly and aren't being tracked. I guess at first their respective events and meets just got flagged as complete somewhere in the mix without notification before hitting a wall at that last call from Zorro which would've started the next main quest, but with Kuri not activating at all now the game has actually moved further back a step.

I truly don't mean to bother you about this. I've tried restarting multiple times throughout this conversation both on the browser version and the downloaded, so for now I'm just gonna leave the game alone until the next update and see if the problem resolves. On a separate note, and just an fyi, there is also a rare occurrence where an error displays when exploring the Neighborhood about something called, "Relaxed Gorilla Soft." I don't know what it is, but I thought you should know. Again, I'm sorry for the trouble and look forward to further updates. Thanks for taking the time to help.

Yes. your existing save file when you were first trying to get kuri done is ruined. Like I sort of explained before, when you had a quest lined up for there at that time and talked to Kuri, it cycled through all of your quest and gave you the lowest one instead of the 1st one in call. I did not know the engine does this. I have changed it where you have to click an option for the game to give you a flag. I can fix your save file if you'd like, but if you want to wait a while before playing again, totally understandable.

In order to get kuri to show up, all you need to do is go to a shop or the gym, learn you need money, go talk to zorro, sell him something, then Kuri introduction option of being thirsty will appear in the park in the afternoon. This has always worked. The problem before was I did not know that the engine called up all the events that are to take place when you're on multiple quest.

And thanks for telling about the gorilla event, it shouldn't be in there and i don't know how it got in there.

I restarted and you were right, the game seems to be running fine now! Thank you for figuring it out and taking the time to help me with it!
