As always, I want to keep my response as spoiler-free as I can, so I am afraid you’ll have to wait for the next chapter to get some more insight into Reed’s motivations.
Again, no spoilers, but Jewel is a protective person, she also doesn’t trust easily, so who knows what will happen if you abuse that trust, hmm? :)
That’d be for you (the player) to decide, I suppose. There will be some choices to make regarding MC’s thoughts about that matter.
Maybe not clubbing, but I have something planned for them, in one of the possible endings.
