I've decided to try using a standard format for all my feedback this time around. Please excuse me if I come across as overly curt or miss something important about your game. I'm writing these all quite hastily as there are a lot of games in the jam this year!

What I liked

The graphics and overall style remind me of old flash games which I have a ton of nostalgia for.

The sound of hitting things should be annoying but I found it oddly charming for some reason

What I didn't like

The gameplay is heavily luck based since you can't effectively evade

The hit detection is not very good

Kinda wish it had a high score table though that doesn't matter for reasons mentioned under "other remarks"

Did I think it was so bad it was good?

It definitely has some good and some bad, but it's not really the right mix for that special so bad it's good feel in my mind if that makes any sense.

My thoughts on the modifier implementation

The modifier was "impossible".

Other remarks

That name reminds me of an old, nasty meme

The game may not have a victory condition, but it does have a de facto end state. Eventually you get so big you take up the whole screen and just catch everything as it spawns.

Verdict

It's kind of a neat little game but it just didn't do it for me.

If you have any questions, comments, queries or concerns, please reply and I'll do my best to get back to you.

Well thanks for the feedback. Yes it was inspired by fishy and that kind of games. I guess you are kinda right with luck if you eat a smaller bird near the edges and a bigger one spawns there right in front of you, but fishy does the same kinda. I guess it is up to the player if they want to risk it or eat the bird far away from the edges, it may be thrilling sometimes, but it also may be annoying, but maybe if the enemy spawned only on the opposite site you're from the game would be better for some reasons, but lose some other kind of charm, I dunno. Even if you get eaten this game is supposed to be played fast, so you don't lose much if you get hit. Well maybe some people would rather play the long game and wait for the player bird to build up speed... But thanks for the feedback. Or if you are talking about something else like "nonrensponsive" character movement, then I am not sure what you mean. I tried to make the hit detection on the head part and body, ignoring the wings and tail. I'm not sure what you didn't like about the hit detection(if you were to write expected behaviour and existing behaviour, maybe with pictures, I guess I could work more with that, but I guess it's ok if you don't have too much time).
