I've decided to try using a standard format for all my feedback this time around. Please excuse me if I come across as overly curt or miss something important about your game. I'm writing these all quite hastily as there are a lot of games in the jam this year!
What I liked
The graphics.
The general absurdity of the premise.
The "collect the bits with a bike" gameplay (which circles around back to the general absurdity doesn't it)
What I didn't like
There's a kind of clash between the gameplay, which feels very chill and casual and something you just play as long as you feel like, and the narrative, which feels like something that should be completed. It's hard to put this feeling into words.
Did I think it was so bad it was good?
I think so. Not as strongly as some of the other games in the jam but it's in the ballpark.
My thoughts on the modifier implementation
"It could be impossible, depending on the odds" is an interesting take on it though I'd be curious about how well it works out in practice.
Other remarks
The timing is kind of off considering the hype around Alan Turing was a few years ago. Not sure if that makes things better or worse.
Verdict
Bizarre but cool and kinda fun.
If you have any questions, comments, queries or concerns, please reply and I'll do my best to get back to you.
