That's unfortunate. It sounds like you ran into this bug, which has no solution at the moment: https://github.com/flareteam/flare-game/issues/816

I've been recently working with someone making a Flare mod that uses Windows, and I have been providing them with development builds of the engine. If you're willing to, you can try copying the flare.exe from this to your install directory: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DRLlo7nWfnIHNs7JBqKWrfwNPmDgMKYb/view?usp=shari...

Either way, could you provide a bit more information for me? It would be helpful to know:

  • Your Windows version (e.g. Windows 10 64-bit)
  • Your CPU & GPU
  • If you use an alternative input method for another language

I think that i found the solution for that problem.

I opened text file settings.txt in this location:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\flare\config

and changed the value of default render device to sdl (default value was set to sdl_hardware)

renderer=sdl

after that i launched the game, and get the window Flare appears to already be runnig. I click Reset and game now works for me.

My specificications:

Windows XP 32 bit

CPU: Pentium 4 2.8 GHz

GPU: Ati Radeon 9200

I hope that this helps .
