I really liked the art used in the game and the story is really nice too, but I don't get the phrase "Why can't I save" in that context. It would be nice if you could explain that.
In all honesty it was just the first thing that popped into my head for a cryptic 4th wall break to indicate from the start something weird was going on, currently it doesn't have a deep meaning, sorry to let you down.
