The horizontal wrap definitely works well. Without distinguishable landmarks, it felt more like it was endlessly generating new content rather than wrapping. That could be cool either way depending on what you were going for. I found that there is a huge window of time to attack early since the sword swinging animation is pretty long, which makes the difficulty very easy if you just allow the dwarves to impale themselves on your weapon. I'm excited to see where you take this.
