A really  good starting point. I like the overall aesthetic.  I  haven't  tried a top-down game yet. now you have inspired me to try.

Controls seem nice, knife action is good and not glitchy.  You can definitely use this to continue!

Well done for your first GWJ

I suggest to smooth the movement of the player or the camera. but that's just my opinion :p

Great start! I like the character sprites and the knifing animation you got in. knife knife

That is one cute Kobold. Games generally have to few of those.

I'm glad that you took a chance and did this even though you knew it wouldn't be a complete game. Cool little concept, and I wish you the best of luck with your game dev journey!

Little puppy going on a mass murder spree and call it an adventure. And these grasses are hypnotizing me.

Simple idea, still cool.  Was hard to damage trolls tho , maybe the hitboxes were a little off. Besides that, worked good without any issues. I like the main charterer art also, reminds me of undertale.

It's a good start! I'm sure you learned a lot, and I'm glad you submitted even if it didn't end up being a finished game. Keep at it!

The horizontal wrap definitely works well. Without distinguishable landmarks, it felt more like it was endlessly generating new content rather than wrapping. That could be cool either way depending on what you were going for. I found that there is a huge window of time to attack early since the sword swinging animation is pretty long, which makes the difficulty very easy if you just allow the dwarves to impale themselves on your weapon. I'm excited to see where you take this.
