Sorry for the not-so-self explanatory controllers. I'll be uploading a new version soon and it adds a couple of important changes to how the game plays. I hope you give yourself the time to try it once again.
Basically, you have to move the tiles three times. Once the moving phase is over you place mail next to the aliens. If you place it next to dogs, they get to the mail first and you miss a hit.
If you only kill one alien, you get two letters for the next round, if you kill two, you get three.
