Hey jacjson, here is my opinion,
- There are a lot, and I mean a lot of controls. They are a bit all over the place and it was difficult to get the hang of it. For example you can look up with the 'W' key, but it looked like there was no need to look up. I should work on the keybindings a bit more. If it keeps being difficult. Maybe add a settings menu where players can assign their own keybindings. (Maybe too much work for a small game jam)
- There were nice mechanics, but not unique ones. It was a Brackeys game jam platformer with the most amount of mechanics I've seen yet, so props for the amount of work that went into that.
- There were 2 modes. Assist mode and Sadist mode. It seemed like there was no difference?
- Great job on the pixelart and animations of the player. I loved those.
- I'm not quite sure how this game fits into the theme of the jam. Did not see anything to do with rewind. You told in your description that the game rewinds when completing it, but I couldn't the controls were to hard for me
Overall advice: Maybe spend a little less time implementing a lot of different mechanics and try to improve on the ones already implemented. Playtest it more and see where the skill level would be.
Nice job on the game. A jolly platformer
