When you damage enemies it should probably be something other than red text. In most games that usually indicates the character getting hit.

The slimes do way too much damage for not enough maneuverability while attacking. Even though the shooting is constant, you might want to give it a tell for what directions it'll be shooting in.

It wasn't obvious that you needed to hit shift to talk to npcs. Did that by chance.

It was annoying sometimes when the aiming cursor changed locations reletive to the next room's position, making it hard to kill enemies. It was also too easy to turtle enemies from another room, since their shooting timer seemed to reset each time. Be careful with that too though, because if you don't reset it, it could leave to unfair deaths.

Overall, seems like it has potential. Looks good!
