So your suggestions are so detailed and constructive, that I decided to make an update immediately. The following is extracted from my new devlog.

NPCs' health increased.
Adjustment on the overall difficulty,
Shield now regenerates health.
Added tips after dying in the boss fight (you can actually dash while being trapped).
The player can no longer move around while lock-picking.
Minor improvements on the lock-picking system.
