I love your youtube and I watched your vid on this but I have a question, why does it say it's Linux compatible when theirs only a windows executable and no Linux executable, and theirs also no Mac one either, Why?
isn't this working on Linux? I always thought that it would work since Unity calls this build option PC, Mac & Linux standalone. But I never verified this 😅 So you probably have to do some other settings when it shall work on linux or mac? 🤔
The problem isn't the code, the problem is that there is no executable for Linux. There all for windows. And I'm not going to install an emulator such as Wine when I know for a fact that Unity can export for Linux.
wine is not an emulator, but a container of sorts. It translates windows syscalls to linux and provides some core windows libs. An emulator would be able to run any program the emulated system could. Wine does not work for some programs.
