Yep! This theme encourages you to think about some of the older games in history. Whether it be games for arcades or even before that, this theme is completely up to you how you interpret it! :D
Sorry for the late reply - I'm glad you were able to work it out! I hope it all goes well, and if it gets too hard (completely understand lol, pixel perfect stuff is so hard for me), remember that it's not a set in stone part of the theme and can be changed! :D
