Does the ship disappear completely throughout the game?
The character is temporarily invisible during a flip event. Because scale.x is reduced to zero, then sprite is changed, and it is restored to one again.
The square area in the center of the screen displays the screen on the other side. I've shown you a translucent ship image of where the player will be located on the inverted screen. But to be honest, it's hard for me to tell you where ship is. (lol)
But if it's completely gone, it's a bug I've never seen before.
