Hey, congradulations on your game! I thouroughly enjoyed it!

We were going for a similar interpretation of "future" in our submission and your game mechanics (random tiles to choose from) reminds me of @necrosaint 's The Long Road submission (https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-63-future/rate/763324) which I also enjoyed.

I think the rythm of the game is really good: fast but strategic and just long enough.

Figuring out the mechanics and discovering the 4 different outcomes gives it quite a bit of replayability (and the fact that you can see the outcome of your city makes it interesting to try to figure out what the proper ratios are). The 3 tile choice too helps randomize your play-through.

Esthetically the game is also verry pleasing, and the music quite soothing.

Well done. Thanks! :)

Cheers,

Hi! Thanks for the extensive review! Glad you found the rhythm of the game correct. It was hard to find what for me was the "sweet spot".

I played The Long Road and loved it! It reminded me of some of my favourite board games (Like a crossover of Dead of Winter with Eldritch Horror).

I loved your game too! At the beginning of the voting phase I saw it and said "F***,  this guy made the same thing as me!", but I played it and I was happy to find that it was a slightly different take on the theme. That fast forward mechanic to the future is great, and the pixelart style is very beautiful!

Thanks, we had a lot of fun designing it! I'm pretty happy about the art, I think the imposed color scheme worked out nicely. In termes of game play, we still have a little tweaking to do to find that "sweet spot". ;)

Looking forward to seeing future contributions of yours.
