Cosmos: check. Horror: Check. Solid entry and pretty ideal for a game jam. Enhanced by the generally black and white aesthetic and use of ambient sounds. The artwork was pretty awesome. Loved the monsters when I could catch a glimpse of them. A couple gameplay issues hurt it a little.

The biggest one was a game crashing bug that occurred on reloading, after enemies began chasing again. It seemed to be related to the sound or something like that. So unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete the game on hard since I'm not good enough to make it through on one run.

Second issue I had was in the chase gameplay itself. It felt a bit random whether or not I got hit, which made it feel a bit cheaper when enemies actually got me. I may just be bad at timing though. I'll have to see if Hawk had any better luck in his playthrough.

Glad for the easy mode option, which gave me a chance to complete the game. The final boss was pretty awesome, and the ending was pretty cool, though perhaps a bit optimistic for cosmic horror.

Bottom line: I really enjoyed this submission, and it was equal parts creepy and cool.

I've never gotten a sound bug before, though I think it would have something to do with how rpg maker mv compiles sounds when deploying a project, and how the plugin for the 3d sound is a bit jank sometimes with that.

I'm happy you liked it either way.
