Movement seems standard like from any template. all you have to do is pres W... and because the golem is slower it can never catch up...
How new are you to unity? You may want to consider sharing that on the game page.

Not very new at all actually, I just didn't put as much time into it as everyone else did, and as for the golem, I did some scripting magic so that the golem was always behind but just out of sight so if you were to stop, say if the trees actually had collision, he would be right on top of you in seconds. Like I said I just didn't put enough time into it which is unfortunate because my initial plan would have been much better.
