I have couple of suggestion :
1. What about new commander squad? A...Summoner (i suggest girl), a summoner squad can call a gnome/golem/beast that can attack enemy squad or a sacrifice to make a way.
2. What about make a special scene for someone (girl), for example : ailluin or worilla.
the scenario is:
one of them is a daughter of a noble who ran away from home because her parents would match her up, she (ailluin or worilla) ran away from home for days until she reached Central. After experiencing countless incidents and experiences, she became a commander of the central army.
But some time ago she received a letter that said "your parents are sick, he wants to discuss something with you, about your future".
(ailluin or Worilla) feel anxious, then she (ailluin or worilla) tells Ryen, so that Ryen wants to help her (ailluin or Worilla), Ryen comes with her, like a couple ready to be with her.
After that the incident will be similar to an anime which tells of a man who tries to save his lover from an arranged marriage
