Great~ I do think the space junk just kind of appearing in the background is jarring... You could do fancy animations and background blending, but you could also just start with their opacity set to 0, and then gradually bring it up to 100 over the course of maybe 3 seconds. Good gameplay and enjoyable. Models are pretty good as well and the gameplay is well thought out. The rings you fly through could maybe be improved, as floating blurry circles screams more Superman 64 then flying astronaut. Particle effects around batteries are also a bit janky... Great for a jam game! 4.5/5 stars!

NOTE: I did play on the WebGl port, so some of the stuff might have been fixed if I wasn't too lazy to download

I totally agree with everything you just said. I’ll definitely do something about the objects appearance, the opacity technique might do the trick, thanks for the tip. I’m still laughing when I read the your reference of Superman 64 because I thought about that too X), but I ran out of time to improve both the circles and batteries particle effects.

At the moment, there is only the webGL port uploaded, after the voting period I will add native builds as well, trying to improve the features mentioned in all the feedback I’m receiving.
