Hi Sathya321,

What would you contribute toward this partnership? What are your skills(strengths)?

ShiroganeX may be suggesting that you learn basic programming, however if you really desire to develop games then I would make recommendations contrary to what he/she suggested.

Learning an off the shelf game engine may be the best thing to do for an aspiring game developer. why? it will not only shorten the time it will take you to produce a meaningful demo but also impart crucial skills and experience to work in a team of developers.

A Custom game engine would only be understood by you, the creator and would essentially become worthless to everyone else without considerable efforts to learn it.

==========

Developing games is not easy(especially AAA Games), it often requires months of dedication and hardwork. Are you prepared to give up all thats necessary to achieve it? if not then I suggest you call it a passing whim and move on. In fact most aspiring game developers fail despite taking the risk, this is simply a statistical truth.

so the critical question is, do you simply like games or do you want to be a game developer?

==========

btw i'm an indie game developer.

You made some valid points about knowing the basics.

I love playing games and would like to develop my game idea.
