Wanted to play your game, but I can't get it to start on MacOS 11 Big Sur. It says I have no rights to open it, but I am the administrator of the iMac I'm using. It seems to be a more common issue on Big Sur, but strangely there are many applications and games that work just fine when downloading and others that unfortunately don't. Maybe it's solvable by exporting the game with different settings but I really don't know.
Hi! I'm sorry you're having issues trying to get this to run. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Mac to test any of the builds, so I'm not aware of anything I can do or not do to package it differently.
I could be wrong, but after poking around a bit, it seems this is a Big Sur problem, and not something I can fix on my end. Someone said this worked for them:
open terminal.
enter sudo chmod -R 777
then drag and drop the application you are trying to open.
click enter
to be in the terminal like this : sudo chmod -R 777 app-path
then enter your password
Try that for me, and if it doesn't work I'll read into it more to see if there is something I can do differently. I appreciate you reaching out with the issue nonetheless, because if it's something I need to fix, I would have never known.
It doesn't seem to work for me. Tried a couple other solutions posted on that site and couldn't do it.
Yes, I think it is a problem with the OS I'm running, but it's strange that I can run most other games, but not yours unfortunately. So I assume there could be something you can do. I could be wrong however. I looked up some details about your game and assume, you built it with Unity (?).
I have found this on the web, which might helps: https://forum.unity.com/threads/issue-opening-unity-mac-applications-on-mac-big-...
Let me know if you can figure it out :)
Okay, so I've spent a while reading about this. Windows has no understanding of something called "executable bits", but this is something both Linux and MacOS use. It is impossible to add this on windows. So, I needed to emulate either a MacOS or Linux Terminal to add these executable bits.
As far as I know, there is no reliable Mac terminal emulator for windows, so I used Linux. Anyway, I jumped through a lot of hoops, and I feel like it may have just completely broke the build, but I did put a new one up; hopefully this works.
Please let me know, so I can try again if it's still not right
Hi there Green Panda Studios! I was wondering if I could show you a certain idea for my own Xbox One Action-adventure/3D platform Cute-as-heck video game I thought of? Here, I'll show you the details of the game I wrote down!
So this was... sorta a lil bit of my own Xbox One video game idea I thought of in my mind a long time ago. So, here's what I've got:
Genre: Action/Adventure/ 3D Platformer/ Cute-as-heck
So the idea for my game is that it will be a cool new 2021 Cute-as heck type 3D platformer game. The main character you control in it is a cute humanoid pufferfish hero boy by who I called "Puff Cuff". So basically, Puff Cuff has cool water element power's, let being able to shoot jet's of water from his mouth. There will also be many world's to explore in the game, such as bustling huge cities, large lush forest's, and flaming fire-infused island's. I also thought of some cool boss battle idea's, such as robotic animal's and other type's of thing's.
Now, enough of the idea plot. Time to get to the character's:
Puff Cuff: The main hero. A cute short-sized humanoid pufferfish boy, who wear's a cool spikey jacket in the appearance of a pufferfish, that is colored light-yellow and turquoise. Wear's a cool set of water-blue boxing glove's, with cool silver spike's on the knuckles of the gloves. Wear's long baggy blue pant's that droop down his feet, and silver shoes on his feet. Was sent from an elemental god to save the world from a evil overlord.
Attack move's:
Water punch: The basic attack Puff Cuff uses. Does a soft punch attack of water by the player pressing the X button on the Xbox One controller.
Low Thrust: A secondary attack of the game. Causes Puff Cuff to do a kick spinning on the ground and swiping at the foes, by the player presses the X button twice on the Xbox controller.
Spike Missile: A normal attack by holding the X button on the remote and letting go, causing the spike's on Puff Cuff's glove's to shoot at his foes and cause a blast of water to go off.
Jump: The normal jump move. Able to use by pressing the A button on the Xbox one remote.
There will also be some other cool thing's in the game, such as special power up's that transform Puff Cuff into special form's with different elemental power's and abilities, such as Earth power flower, a Electric power mushroom, a fire-power up shaped like a cloud, and many other's!
Oh, and also one other thing. The game will actually be a free-to-play Xbox One game, that will be put into the Free game section of the Microsoft Store, that is labeled "Top Free". I also would like if anyone ever see's this to try to get in contact with any Xbox One 3D platformer developer's to see if they can try making this in .
