Pretty challenging game! I wasn’t able to beat the 4th boss, he’s a tough cookie. The character designs were pretty unique as well. Their portraits were really expressive!

Some feedback:

  1. One mechanic I was confused about was when some of the bosses shined blue. Was that an indicator of a counterattack? (Player will be damaged if they attack when the opponent is blue?) If so, it was a little hard to tell that’s what is occurring. I think communicating that mechanic to the player for making that mistake is a good way to teach the player, but I think it’s not as clear as it should be. This might be better if there was better feedback to being hit by an attack. Personally, I was more focused on the battle instead of the health bar, so maybe having a more crispy effect to show when the player has taken damage could alleviate this.
  2. When there’s dialogue, pressing left click progresses dialogue. But it’s also used for attacking, so some players might skip through dialogue accidentally. (Might want to mind this to another key or something)
  3. Minor issue, when you die from the boss, the boss character bugs out a bit.

It’d be cool if there were additional moves or mechanics the player could use in battle, but I digress. I think what you have so far is pretty solid! Keep up the great work!

Hello! Thanks a lot for playing our game! It’s a college project made in a few months, and the first thing I’ve done in Unity. I’ve noted your feedback and will continue to improve for future projects! I hope to come back to this world and these characters in the future, it has been really fun writing dialogue for them and working them out with the team.
