Yeah, that archer was a mistake - didn't have enough time for playtests :)
You can beat him if you play your cards right. Just somehow in both my play through I ended up with swords at the most inopportune time!
Maybe have the second sword attack have a bit longer range?
I couldn't pass that archer either.
Maybe there should be a mage before that archer, so you could use a shield
