This was definitely a fun playthrough, fits the theme pretty well in comparison to a lot of other games I played. Plus it had full sound and music throughout which is the first time I've seen that this jam. Some feedback tho:
- The deleting, the fact the button is always in the middle of the screen gets a bit repetitive. Not to mention a little harder depending where the file you're deleting is. Having it spawn closer to the file itself would make it a little less repetitive. Since you're not constantly moving back to the middle of the screen.
- Some of the "modifiers" are hard to figure out how you avoid them. Ex. The explosion one, the shoot I generally figured out because I could see the projectiles flying, but since there's near no warning when the "code defender" comes onto the screen the explosions would generally get me before I even knew they were coming.
- The "time plus" files that you can delete randomly are a bit of a "oh I found this" mechanic. Which had me wondering if it was a specific file type or something for a bit. I feel like maybe making it so it is one could be nice. As a sort of specific powerup you have to go for. Maybe a random folder could instead be a "time folder" where you get extra time for deleting it. Something like that.
With the entirety of the game though I have to say the aesthetic was nice, the concept is interesting and it's definitely a fun time to try and avoid the code defender while deleting everything. The big thing personally for me would be to add some sort of very quick warning as to when it is coming. That way you have some warning for some of the things. (Explosions killed me a lot okay!)
