Even tho i didn't fully get the moral of the story (i originally thought that the game was about going to fast in life, but it was not so i felt pretty confused) i really enjoyed the game and was really well done!! The only thing i would add is a prompt at the start that would say "Press D to move" because i tried to use W to move forward (thinking that it was a 3D game) and when it didn't worked i thought that i needed to just...

...Wait...

...So i waited...

...And waited...

...And then i got bored of waiting...

...And then, when i was resonating with the main character the most...

...I thought of closing the game...

...But then...

...I started pressing random keys until the player started moving xD

(Yes, this was some kind of personal revenge because I waited so long)

Ok, now to my ratings (i ike to explain why i'm giving the rating like i am, so i feel best to just write them, instead of sending a screenshot):

  • OVERALL (4/5 stars): Great title, feels very polished, doesn't really feel like a game jam title: the only reason i'm not rating it 5 is because the game still has some flaws. Good Job!!
  • THEME (3/5 stars): I've seen many "self reflect" games on this jam. Although this is certainly an unique and interesting take on the whole concept (if it wasn't, i would had rated it with just 2 stars), i feel like, because of that fact, i need to not raise this rating too much. Sorry :/
  • VISUALS (3/5 stars): The difference on the side of the mountain from the ground is really weird and the mountain feels pretty lifeless. Overall the visual part of the game is really nice
  • INNOVATION (3/5 stars): Mechanically, Nothing pops at the mind when I'm trying to think about something unique about this game, on both spectrum. So that's a 3 for me
  • SOUNDS (5/5 stars): The popping sound of the dialogue bubble is really satisfying. (Yes. A 5 just for that sfx alone)
  • MUSIC (4/5 stars):  Even though there isn't much music (it's just ambient, actually), i think that's actually helps immersing the player in the game/story. The volume is also just right, so that's a plus for me...
  • DESIGN (5*/5): Again, Even tho i didn't fully get the moral of the story, i can see that the story is very well designed, and i can see that it took a lot of effort to do. I would rate evn hight i had the possibility to do so

Hey Mary, thank you for that super detailed rating :)

Game controls were in the itch page; but I will be sure to put it in the game next time for sure.

When I was developing the game, I always thought whether someone would actually wait in the bottom after starting the game. Looks like you waited :) Made me giggle to be honest.

I won't even try to explain what I tried storywise since it is nothing special. This is my first story-like game so don't even try to search for a meaning. I can't write that kind of deep dialogue.

And again, thank you for the detailed rating and I hope you have a good trip in life :)

Have a good day!
