The ambiance, graphics and soundtrack are all super awesome! I also love the idea of BulbBoy. So cute! And great job with all the details in the background like all the toys on the floor!

With the gameplay though... at the moment, I'm not really feeling the puzzle game dynamic with this one. I see what you were going for with the circuit pattern on the floor in the room where you first see the ghost. I thought it was gonna be a type of thing where you have to properly connect the circuit to reach the door. But the issue is, the any part of the circuit works as long as BulbBoy is connected to it. So all you have to do is connect to the piece closest to the door and then it's solved.

To counter this, I'd suggest changing the gameplay a little bit. What if instead of being the only source of power, BulbBoy has to connect a power source / battery to his desired door/light using circuits. He can still use his head to power the circuits, but instead of being the only power source, what if he could lay down connecting pieces for the electricity to flow. That could easily turn the game into a challenging circuit making puzzle! Just a suggestion of course! Totally chill if you had something else in mind!

I also felt like there could be a bit of a learning  curve / tutorial phase with the minigame where the 6 ghosts come at you from all directions. That throws in a very sudden difficulty spike with no explanation... and personally I had no idea how to play. Perhaps the ghost saying he likes fruit could offer some hints as to how the mini game is played? That would help a lot!

I hope these notes help you! Congratulations on finishing your first game jam game! Keep up the good work! :)

Thank you so much for your input. I wanted to add some sort of placement function with the wires or maybe an object that the player can move which could be "electrified" to complete circuits. I took way too long trying to get that part that I almost ran out of time for the game jam. But I totally would create some better puzzle mechanics if I continue BolbBoy games. Again thank you for your comment it definitely helps to get some input and I am exited to make more games in the future. Also I played your submission as well love the dialogue in the game give a good charm to the bugs. I got some pretty funny glitches like getting stuck with the box upside down and getting totally pushed forward at an alarming rate by Nolan who had gotten stuck behind the box and for some reason could only go right at top speed. But I finished the game. I love the cutscene with Nolan's "list". Pretty funny.
