The squiggly background is really engaging and disorienting, which works well with the theme, but I can't lie it did make me feel a little dizzy looking at it all the time. I think this was especially problematic as the stuff in the foreground was a very similar colour so that the background movement did become distracting after a while.

I liked the music, that was a very nice loop which I enjoyed listening to.

For a while I did struggle to understand what was really going on; the "meters left" at the top confused me as to whether that meant how far I needed to go as the character or how far away the monster was, and I didn't think to initially pick up the objects with the ghost.

What could have been cool is if you could have controlled both players at the same time, as that would have helped to make the gameplay a bit more phrenetic, keeping p the pace and perhaps giving some more options for quick saves from the monster.

Overall a nice little experience though, and there was certainly something there as I kept replaying and replaying! Nice job.

Glad you liked it. About the background, i thinked a lot about it being disorienting and it is really a distraction to the player in fact but since this was a jam it stuck there. And to be honest game needs a proper tutorial it is way too chaotic for a new player (this was partly intentional with the controls but unbalanced).

Also thanks for the pointing out the design flaws.
