Thanks for the wonderful comment! Really glad you enjoyed the game, and that the topical nature of the content came across.

Haha, you're right. I should add that in a future update!

And hats off to you for not giving in! Maybe you found some of the other hidden options by waiting out the timer in other parts of the game?

Thanks for playing!

Glad it had a strong effect, and that the text effects worked! Always hard to know if they'll land, especially on text only.

Thanks so much for playing!

Wow thanks so much for your great comment! Really glad you enjoyed it.

Well spotted on the sp, just fixed it now. And yeah, the floating text was a bug, but I felt it kind of went with the hesitance of the character (you) as you get to that point so I left it in for now. :)

Very cool concept and really enjoyed playing this with my partner. Was great to see a co-op communication in the jam, as these games are rare!

We did find it pretty tricky though. Found it very hard to figure out the pentagram, and died many times before accidentally brute forcing it. The other puzzles were much better for us, and we managed to figure them out!

Great concept!

Very cool setup and concept for a card game. Enjoyed the aesthetics of the cards and all the sound effects!

I found it a little frustrating to effectively be playing against RNG, as I felt a little unable to deploy any strategy beyond card-counting. For me, it's that strategy that makes me enjoy card games, as otherwise it's not really my genre. Also, I couldn't understand what the powerups did before using them which made me throw them away multiple times, haha But perhaps I missed something regarding both of these points?

Great execution!

Wow the bloxors inspiration?! What a throwback!

Great visuals and mechanics, very satisfying animations and sounds too. Really polished as a jam game.

I find these types of puzzles pretty difficult so I didn't get super far without getting stuck, but really enjoyed what I played!

Great sense of humour with a really satisfying amount of branching!

Would love to hear some extra sfx to build the game world as we change locations and events happen

Very addictive and chaotic game with great art and animations, and a super fun variety of minigames.

I found it very hard to know where to go for lots of the minigames which resulted in a lot of failures early on (which felt a bit unfair and punishing). Could be cool to include quest markers/arrows (at least for the first time for each). Once I got the mental map it was fun to run around and do the minigames.

Great work!

Fun parody of Mario! Enjoyed the premise a lot, although I feel like I kind of cheesed the final level. Would definitely be fun to see this concept take on a larger variety of creative challenges :)

Awesome graphics (loved the dialogue scenes especially). And I was really impressed by the variety of gameplay and mechanics on show here. Definitely the most variety I've experienced in the jam so far!

I did find a few of the mechanics hard to get the hang of--particularly the wall jumping and the electricity with the buttons required a few tries.

Great aesthetics, really strong entry!

Amazing TV effect and overall vibe, with a good music choice. I liked that resetting and everything was fast and painless to avoid too much frustration--despite being a rage game! Enjoyed it a lot!

Glad you liked it! Yeah, I'm not one for text-based games myself so it was a challenge to try to keep people engaged! :)

Wowee, thanks so much!

Glad the reference came across! Thanks for playing!

Definitely a depressing one, but glad it hit that note as that was the intention.

Thanks for playing!

Looking to get thoughts and feedback on my text-based political game takeover: https://cinemaleo.itch.io/takeover
Leave a rating/comment and I'll do the same for you.

Thanks!

Looking forward to playing your games and sharing feedback :)

Great fun! The pacing was excellent, switching up the mechanics frequently enough so that the idea never got old, while keeping the game length short and sweet. Really great entry!

Love the opening cutscene and the atmosphere! I ended up dying A LOT before getting the hang of everything with all the action going on at once, but that chaos was very satisfying.

Great work!

Great atmosphere! Really loved the lighting and the music. I got a bit stuck on the long corridor but I'm generally not the best at this style of puzzle game haha.

Great execution!

Amazing animations and art style, always love a good bit of dithering! Great progression too with the different move sets and enemies. Enjoyed the twist too! Although, like many others I was immediately wondering why we were slaying old dudes with walking sticks haha.

Yes, you get locked out of the options based on the stats you accrue over the game. :)
Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing, glad the atmosphere came across well!

Thanks for your kind words :)

Nice systems! I like the pathing of the opponents and the different speeds. Defo could use some punchy SFX!

This was a lovely change of pace from most other entries!

The eating mechanic was great and I loved the trail of ants being both visually great and also a blocker in the world.

Very cool to have shared the design dog too, to give an insight into your process. Great work from the whole team!

Liked the thumbnail design! The overall idea of the two worlds is neat.

Really fun and engaging concept! It's tense and keeps you on your toes.

I can imagine this working super well as a 3D game where you look around the car as one continuous space. That could be awesome.

Great to see another political entry!

Love the satirical vibe of the game, the intro sequence and the animation of the politician. Like many others on this list I kind of suck at snake but gave it a good go, haha.

I would say that I really wanted to read the politician's quips, but whenever I did I would run the risk of dying so I didn't manage to read many. Perhaps having them as voiced audio would allow you to keep them in without them being a fatal distraction from the gameplay.

Great work with a fun message!

Cool to see a mobile-only game in the jam! I'd definitely recommend adding that it's mobile only to the description (or even title) as I was very confused when it didn't work on PC.

It's a fun puzzle concept for mobile, with the simple controls!

Super nice idea, I can imagine players really enjoying landscaping their vivarium and keeping it alive over multiple days. Like Tamagotchi but with plants! I also loved the 3d view. Can definitely see this concept being popular!

Lovely tight controls and well placed gems. Felt really good to play! Would have loved to hear some extra SFX for jumping, hitting, bouncing etc too!

Unfortunately I ran into a bug so couldn't finish; when I went to the next room after the room with spikes on the ceiling requiring a double-jump my guy seemed to disappear and I wasn't able to continue. I think I accidentally triggered going back to the previous room before properly arriving in the new one, if that makes sense. So I think it's my bad... haha

Great game!

Nice rage game, haha. I can definitely see this doing well on streams. Reminded me a lot of Jump King.

The mechanic felt really intuitive and responsive, making it one of those rare rage games which actually seems kind of fair... haha.

Great job!

Great atmosphere, made better by the creepy message at the back of the room! The gameplay is kind of tricky as reaching multiple game-over states without any hints at the objective feels mean... haha. Especially as combining the ingredients is quite a long walk. But perhaps I missed a hint somewhere?

Really enjoyed the assets, music and overall design though!

Super enjoyable game! Great art style and very intuitive, making it satisfying to figure out!

Only note would be to hide the controls after a little while to clear up screen space. But that's probably just me!

Really enjoyed it.

Thanks for playing! :)

I can definitely see the value of doubling down on black-and-white aesthetics, one to add to the refinements! And yes, I didn't quite have time to fix the revolving text effect to not interrupt the mouse haha.

Thanks for the feedback!

The gameplay is super innovative and relevant, and I love the label printing, very satisfying.

On another level, the objective is pretty abstract and confusing. I wasn't really sure how to do better without just brute force printing different combinations until it worked. Also didn't understand why we had two sets of packaging (although I assumed it could be back and front)? Perhaps if the contract and packaging were side-by-side so you could more easily compare instructions to your output, or something?

Either way, love the message, mechanics and art style!

Cool art and setup, with nice puzzles.

But we really struggled with the timed, especially as we got stuck multiple times at the dice counter where none of them seemed to total 15. I feel a longer timer (or even no timer) would help to avoid some of the tedium of dying (we didn't end up finishing as we died too much).

A great escape room game nonetheless.

All the visual effects and polish on this are insane! It looked and felt great to play.

The gameplay loop was clear and intuitive, with the puzzle elements always shifting in a satisfying way. Although after a while I did feel a bit too much like an office worker... haha.

Great work across the board!
