I like this subtly sad mood. It's filled with doom and has a pinch of hope. For me it's about orphanhood in some indirect way. Like, why are all these children buried alive under the earth? How long have they been like that? If I just wander around and eat fruits alone, free and careless, would they stay buried forever?

I really don't know if it's intentional or not, but I don't care. If it's not, than for me it's a miracle of meaning, emerging from the game on it's own.

Level design is smart. Liked children, surrounded by unwalkable tiles and the one on the end point of patrolling fly pathway.

And now some boring nitpicking!

As others said something's really off with hitboxes.

And yes, the squawking sound is missing. It would be great if every rescued child would add a new voice to the choir.

Squawking visual effect looks alien. It would look better if it was in pixel art and without "add" rendering mode.

Flies is a strange choice for parrots' enemies, I think)

First I wanted some explicit ending, but than came to a thought that gathering together is already a satisfying conclusion and all those fireworks, flying confetti and "they lived happily ever after" would only steal something from it.
