"Narrative is kinda a mess here and there, a lot of inconsistencies like referring to the goblin sometimes a she or he depending on the interaction. Player character insisting on being a he when by default wearing a skirt which is just odd, even the brigand wears pants and refers to themselves as a she."
It's called Tales of Androgyny.
It's in the name. It's a game with masculine, feminine and androgynous characters. Their gender isn't what defines what they wear, it's their preference that does. What they call themselves and how they identify is how Hiro identifies them. There's a futa option if you want to turn that off, it'll remove and change several characters to not be androgynous. But, you're gonna get some guys wearing skirts and some gals wearing riding pants because that's sort of a key theme.

"Edit: Oh yeah, just remembered. I think it would be better if the player character started in a small town and wasn't just thrown out into the wilderness. and the next town if there is any other ones anyway should be relatively farther to give the player more to grind or something. "

Yes, that's story mode. You can play it if you get the Patron build by donating.
"like, a dress that gives more charm and agility but less/no defense or something. "
You get those in the Town of Monsters, Lingere you can wear instead of armour.

I don't want any of this to sound rude, just so you know. Please feel free to reply to this with a response you find fitting, I just felt like you misunderstood some details about stuff.

I see, I see. The game generally messed up my head, lmao. I guess it's just hard for me to immerse myself in the game unless I just try to enjoy it in a more casual way. I stand corrected, thank you.

As for story mode, I really just wish I can pay for that, oof. After hearing about that, I really want to get to know "Hiro" more, the open world mode is just lacking substance for me currently with my current play style. Well, as they say, beggers shouldn't be picky. I also admit that I'd been too stuck up to actually get that far into the game, I just messed around which I regret now as there is a charm on playing blindly to knowing what's coming.

Don't worry,  I find this very helpful for people like me playing just the public version and complaining about this and that without knowing full story so to speak nor contributing much compared to the patron users.

I guess I'll leave this here for future reference or whatever unless it should be removed otherwise. Again, thank you. I'm gonna start playing the game again and yeah,  try to finish at least one decent game session.

Edit: As a cheapstakes, kinda wish the public build had more content or so...but yeah, I'm just getting greedy. Story mode just sounds relatively good, for those who wish and are able to spare some change, go contribute to the developers for extra content.

Actually, with regards to story mode. I think it would've been better if they allowed even the public players to play it up until like a certain point like if there was chapters, the players would only be able to play up to chapter 1 for free. Like maybe, from the first town until just right before entering or doing anything within the second town or something like that. Just like a teaser, I think its nice. That way, the public players would have an glimpse of story mode which I think would give it more charm and allure as it really is different going in blind and knowing something after reckless mistakes again and again or so. Recommending to play it for a quick tutorial (yeah like, just use it as the tutorial session of the game while introducing the story mode a bit) before going to open world mode and like making them want to contribute to have access to the rest of the story mode as far as it goes. This game really is charming so, I'd pay if I could afford it...someday maybe. Props to the devs, worth the pay and donations I'd say.

What do you think? Any ideas perhaps?

I played the Public Build for longer than I did the Patreon Build.
You get a swathe of content with the Public build, some sections i didn't even realize I could reach like the zone past the Border.
My suggestions, for Majalis, can be found on a thread I made.

I read your ideas and they were interesting, I really am looking forward to the future updates though it does depend on the devs and the votes on patron.
