This game is really fun! The game kept me constantly engaged so I didn't have the ability to record my thoughts bullet-point style like I do for the other games, but that's not a bad thing. I love how this is what I'll call a "tactical tower defense game" - you control a single character defending towers from waves of enemies. It's simple, intuitive, and fun the whole way through. The characters look great, the game controls nicely, and the audio design makes sense.

This isn't to say the game isn't without its flaws:

  • I found the space key to be a little hard to hold while using WASD to move. Segues to my next point...
  • This game could use an options menu to allow players to configure their control scheme and audio balance to their preference
  • The framerate CHUGS when I get to wave 5, and I have a pretty powerful computer
  • The bigger enemies can get stuck behind the fence. This sometimes results in amusing situations, like this

This game is my current favorite of the jam. It's fun, innovative, and oozes polish. There are flaws, but I still had a good time in spite of them. Way to go!
