Yeah the player feedback on failure is definitely bad, I think adding a fall animation or like you said just preventing the move would have been better.

That may not have been a bug you encountered, but the "stick" mechanic I added to the rose. Unfortunately the only way you can tell you're stuck is by the sound, which is definitely not ideal.
