Wow the feedback is amazing thanks. I have a few things to say:
- The damage can hit from anywhere not just one block away. That probably makes the combat better.
- The text is blurry because of Godot's web export also, I probably should have made a downloadable version but I didn't have time.
- The negative number for the text was because I imported from my last game and my last game was a time based game so I saved the time with a negative number so it would store the lowest numbers as the best and then when I showed it I showed the number as positive.
- The enemy wasn't supposed to move when the player hit the damage button only when you hit them, that's a bug.
- I tried to make it so the player would be able to outrun the enemies, kill the enemies, or heal up after fights.
- I made the score increase whenever the player moves to a spot that they haven't been to before to try to encourage exploration.
- The swift card works because you get and extra move then you can also do your move so its kind of like 2 extra moves.
- I made arrow and wasd movement but removed it because there where some errors with it, it couldn't move diagonally and it felt out of place with the cards, but I probably should have left it in because its more intuitive.
- I probably should have put a yes or no on the buttons on the chest.
- There was a how to play section in the menu that explained some of the things that I've explained.
The game is buggy and laggy because I was trying to make new stuff that I haven't done before including ai, cards, randomly generated levels (I probably overscoped), but the video was very helpful for knowing where to improve post-jam so thanks! :)
