Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. The presentation is great and I enjoyed finding ways to skip large parts of the level, but the difficulty due to lack of air control and the lava always being right below you no matter how fast you go made it quite frustrating at times. Overall, great game and I hope you improve on it in the future.

I played this at work and I'm not in trouble at all

Not a bad platformer at all. Jumps felt surprisingly nice to control and land and I enjoyed the parts with the falling platforms. Thanks for making it!

That's very kind of you to say. Thank you!

The new version feels much better! Great job adjusting the feel of the game.

Thanks for the clarifications. As for the game I mentioned, it's here https://visgotti.itch.io/skeet-ninja from a previous ScoreSpace jam. The developer even added a link to a Twitch vod I did where I got the high score haha. I enjoyed your game a lot and am looking forward to trying the less chaotic version.

Hey, man. No need to apologize! You made a video game in 3 days, that's super awesome and impressive! That's also really impressive that you got a score of 17. I may have been too quick to assume that some pipe spawns made the game impossible. Knowing that you made it in such a way that there should always be space to dodge them does make me want to try again. Best of luck in the future!

Yeah, I definitely overestimated my own ability at the beginning there haha. I seriously love the gameplay loop. It's very simple and elegant as well as satisfying. Well done on the game!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. The game is super adorable. I love the art and overall chill atmosphere. I felt using space to push off the side of the cloud was a bit difficult, so I mostly just used the dash to go down. Overall, a pretty good game. Nice job!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. Flying through the air with the sound of the wind rushing as you dive through the rings felt really nice and I bet it'd be even better with more levels! Well done.

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. I liked how your gameplay has to dynamically change as the water goes up. Depending on what the water level is, you have to use your weapon in a different way to get the best results. Super cool little game!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. This is a very ambitious game given the jam time limit! You have so much going on, I didn't get to experience the whole game. Unfortunately, I did hit a bug that stopped me from progressing, but overall a nice game. Great job!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. Such a cute game! The bubble and the cat look absolutely amazing. I just wish I could have gotten a bit further, but I suck and died too quick, haha!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. This game has some great arcade-y juice that makes it feel great to fly around and bust up asteroids! Great job, team!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. My favorite part of the game was trying to find the best way to fight each enemy to avoid getting hit while killing them. Great job!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. This is one of my favorite games I've played in this jam so far. The idea of being able to go further down to get higher scores but have to deal with darkness and faster enemies was a great risk/reward system. Great job!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. I must really suck at this game because I found it super difficult and a bit frustrating at times, but overall it's a very nice game. There were some jumps that felt very satisfying to fly from planet to planet.

Hey, played your game and recorded my playthrough. I loved the super polished and cohesive art style and the gameplay is simple to understand, yet satisfying to play. Well done!

Hey, played your game and recorded my playthrough. Game was a bit difficult to control, but looks very cute. Nice job!

Hey, I played your game and recorded my playthrough. I thought it was super cute, but a bit too easy. Nice game overall!

Hey, played your game and recorded my playthrough. The game is hard for sure and is a bit rough around the edges, but definitely shows some promise. Well done!

Hey, played your game and recorded my playthrough. I enjoyed the arcade-y feel of the game and it was very satisfying to get a long combo, but I felt there were just a bit too many things on the screen at once.

Hey, played your game and recorded my playthrough. This game has a lot of nice subtle game feel that elevates the overall experience and I enjoyed playing it!

Hey, played your game and recorded my playthrough. I liked how simple the controls and gameplay loop are. It had a very nice "just one more round" feeling.

Hey, gave your game a try and recorded my playthrough. I thought the choice to restrict it so you can only fire above you was a very interesting one.

Thank you for the kind words! It took me a bit over a month to make this game. I originally made it for the Discord activity pitch competition, but then took a week or two after that to make the game work outside of Discord activities as well.

Wow, very impressive looking game. I ran into a couple issues though. In the second room you need to possess a host to open the door, but the directions on how to do that are in the third room. I only figured out what to do by looking at the controls in the game's description. Also, I ran into a bug where after possessing the thing that walks on walls, leaving the host caused my gravity and controls to be messed up even after possessing another host. I also think I got softlocked in the area with the big enemy that looks like a box with legs. I have access to 4 rooms, but I can't progress in 2 of them without a wall climber host, and the room with the big enemy doesn't seem to do anything.

After resetting from that softlock, I'm now seeing that in the first room, I'm supposed to go through the vent in the top right, but you can actually go through the door for some reason which is why I was confused. Apparently by going through the door, I didn't trigger a bunch of stuff like the map, title screen, and instructions. Also, I think I wasn't able to kill enemies?

I got back to where I was before I was softlocked thinking maybe the big enemy will do something now that I've hit that trigger in the beginning, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I'm kind of lost on what to next.

Game looks super impressive, I'll be sure to try it again if I could get a hint of what to do next or if it turns out the softlock is unintended and it gets fixed.

Great game! Oozes personality and I enjoyed trying to figure out how to stack the jury. My only complaint is that the game is very RNG dependent. With only 4 dollars to play with per round, you sometimes don't really get a chance to fight back if you're given a bad starting lineup. It's also very snowball-y because of this. If you get lucky with good jurors in the first round or two, you can save up lots of money for later rounds, but if you get bad jurors you spend all of your money trying to play catch up. Overall, wonderful game. Really well done!

Finally beat it! That last puzzle took me FOREVER . Interesting game. It was kind of odd how a lot of the progression was gated behind understanding the intricacies of the dive mechanic (long jumping, double wall jumping), yet none of the in game hints really talked about it. I mostly just learned how it worked by messing around with it. I never figured out how to get the box on the top of the blue pillar, so I probably still don't fully understand how it works. The character designs are amazing, of course, and overall a very fun game. Found some small bugs and visual glitches during my playthrough. Nothing too bad except twice I had my game softlock after interacting with the same object multiple times in a row. Couldn't interact or move after closing out of the dialogue. Loved the game and great job!

This put a huge smile on my face. I imagined most people who booted this up were confused and immediately closed it, but to hear you've gotten that far with your partner makes me really happy. The fourth one is in the deathrun area. If you look at the right side, there's an invisible wall along the bottom that you can enter. Here's a screenshot where you can see a lighter yellow line along the right wall where it is. I admit this is a very sneaky place to hide something and I probably should have made it a bit easier haha. Thanks again for the very nice comment and I hope you two can see the ending!

Funny story, I actually did start remaking this game in Unity but kinda lost interest after a bit. Here's a screenshot of how far I got. Thanks for the nice comment. I always appreciate it when people let me know they've enjoyed one of my games.

Not bad for 2 days. Felt pretty linear rather than metroid-vania-y, but pretty hard to invoke the feeling of openness with such a limited play space. Fighting against the ranged enemies felt pretty unfair. Would be cool if you could reflect their projectiles with your sword ganondorf style. As always, love the art style and general vibe of the game.

You're too kind. I'm just happy you're enjoying the games. I do have a YouTube channel actually. I posted 2 tutorial videos about multiplayer games which you can watch here if you're interested.

I also have some unlisted YouTube videos where I review other itch.io games like

and

But honestly I find editing videos to be tedious, so I don't particularly like making videos.

If you're taking a look through my old games, may I recommend Toy Quest and PROJECT LAZ? They're probably the two I'm most proud of.

Again, thank you for all the kind comments. They really make my day.

Thanks again! I don't plan on updating, but I agree that an interact prompt would help a lot.

I think after people download a game, there are some suggestions for other games to try. Since we both participated in the Pass the Game jam, it probably is recommending your games at random.

If you're seeing hits from vykri.com specifically, people are finding your game from https://vykri.com/pass-the-game-2023/  which I made to visualize the jam.

Thanks! I was never sure if adding so many gameplay mechanics to a horror game was a good idea or not, but it seems some people really enjoyed it.

I started working on Higan. Made it so you can't move the mirror whenever you want, but instead need to walk through Torii gates to fit with the Japanese theme. It reduced the overwhelming complexity of the mechanic on the player so I think it's a good direction to go, but unfortunately life got in the way I likely won't be able to have meaningful changes complete by the deadline of this jam. Might still continue working on it after, but as for this jam, unfortunately, looks like I won't be able to submit.

You're going to work on a bunch of different games? I was just planning on working on 1.

I also just updated the box in the top right corner of https://vykri.com/pass-the-game-2023/ to link to the jam. Hope that helps as well.
