when entering itchio.io, after clicking in section "browse : games", we get a selection of games, but it's mixed with those in the jam contest. It gives less visibility to independent projects. Unless the site is centered on game jams, to open the "default section" on independent projects would better help creators, I think. A game Jam can be compared to an environment that people are familiar with where they get togheter for a project. Maybe there's already a filter to find its section but its games are mixed with everything else. To separate things would not only make the game jam section more special but the site would also give an equal importance to independent projects. But that's my opinion.
