when entering itchio.io, after clicking in section "browse : games", we get a selection of games, but it's mixed with those in the jam contest. It gives less visibility to independent projects. Unless the site is centered on game jams, to open the "default section" on independent projects would better help creators, I think. A game Jam can be compared to an environment that people are familiar with where they get togheter for a project. Maybe there's already a filter to find its section but its games are mixed with everything else. To separate things would not only make the game jam section more special but the site would also give an equal importance to independent projects. But that's my opinion.
The idea is good. Always loved the design in synthwave youtube videos and wanted to interact in it. You allow this. I would remove the obstacles during a time and make the road turn slightly before a long straight line, to put the player in a trance. There's quality in this short game and it feels that there will be destinations in the futur instead of going endlessly.

Based on "rootbeer tapper" , ghostbusters makes it even more fun and interesting.

This one is realy cute, if we forget one detail, easily found at the beginning of the game. It's a "point and click" and the animation is lovely. If you like cats, this game is for you. It's fun and original.
I found a gamemaker sale and wondered if I could program something. My tests turned into a whole game. But it was truly surprising how each piece of the puzzle got togheter in the end; it's as if the project was preparing itself from the beginning for the big final. The whole soundtrack was random and some music took a few minutes to make. It was an experience. Dunno if I'll create anything more; out of idea.
Your game was made almost one year ago; my comment wouldn't be very useful then. But great game! Wow, it's so cute! For that, I would change one detail. I would keep the home as it is but make grandma, gone on vacation, appear on a computer screen on a wall; worried about her cats; trying to open the door for them with the use of a small toydrone. It would just replace the ghost sprite with a minidrone sprite and the gameplay would be the same. You can even transform the small appartment into a big house, with one computer screen in each room (grandma loves to watch her cats); each room being one level; it adds alot of potential until the last exit but also alot of work. And poor fish, why not send some cat food on the stove instead; the cat would leave the fish in peace at the same time. Like this we have one happy grandma, cats and fish >^.^<
It was, at first, levels made while learning gamemaker. Watching the characters turning alive created a concept. But I never knew where I was going after each level. I was focusing only on what type of work the player could do vs what I could try to code. Sorry for the soundtrack, music is as new as programming is for me.. I understand that this is not a great game, but I think it's something worth trying at least once. It plays with keyboard only. It's not perfect. Rarely, a bug appears for an unknown reason but nothing terrible. And it's free!
You play as an employee newly hired and the boss wants to test your ability at different task. In most levels, if you press "P" or "Space" you enter the pause menu, if you press "M" it gives information on the controls.
