Oh this is a rendering error, hold SHIFT+G when you're launching and try a different renderer. (This usually occurs due to an incompatibility with something specific to someone's hardware/software specifics in their PC.)

I tried "Automatic", "Force GL2 Renderer" and "Force ANGLE2 Renderer" to no avail...It's sad 'cause the game worked well prior to this update =/

Do you mind sharing your OS and PC Specs? (You could also try checking if your drivers need updating.)

Sure! AMD Ryzen 7 2700 for CPU. Sapphire RX 5700XT for CPU. 16GB of RAM and running the version of Windows 10 and CPU drivers.

Any updates regarding this?

Still working on it, but you're sure your graphics drivers and renderers are up to date? I know mine sometimes fail to update and I have to update them manually.

Yeah! I quadruple checked and they're all on the latest version =)

Well we're asking on the ren'py discord hoping someone wiser there can help, at this stage were at a bit of a loss, but we'll let you know once we figure out what it is.

Much thanks! It's hella appreciated <3

Hey there Rook! Any updates so far?

Unfortunately... we've come up with nothing. As we continue updating with the ren'py engine... we're sortof stuck hoping the issue resolves itself. (Probably not what you want to hear... but at this point it's the best idea we've got.) T.T

Hmmm...is there a way to contact Ren'py's devs/programmers or something? I'd be down to try it!
