Thanks for the reports. I've got some optimization for the Deeps coming in the next update, but this is the first I've heard of it happening in Deep Town. I thought it was related to enemy AI but I'll rerun the profiler.

Does this happen continuously, or just for a few seconds when the level initially loads?

If it's continuous, it might just be an issue with the Chromebook not being able to render large areas, so I'll see if I can cut them up in the future.

wait: it seems to have gotten better after leaving and loading back into it

it used to be crazy, as if the deeps was still loaded along with the town. maybe that was what was happening?

(It is still bad though. that precision segment with the slime blocks had me close all my tabs and turn my input buffer down to 2, and it still took like 10 minutes to get past)

No problem! As I progress through the game, I'll note out any more problem areas here, though I'm pretty sure it's tied to map size.
