Hey!

I have some feedback!

To start off, good job on making the ships give the player more time. However, maybe instead of increasing the time by 5 seconds, they could give something like 7-12?

Also, it was really annoying when at the start of the game my arms would just get stuck due to weird collisions on the "thing" holding the arms ( happened on other occasions too ).

Lastly, would be cool if there was some kind of special ship that gave more points for beating it.

This is my high score:

Edit: good job on the music too!

Thanks for taking the time to leave such good feedback! We really appreciate it.

I like the idea of increasing the time given per ship eaten. I also really like the idea a "bonus ship" that gave more points. I think that would add a really fun, and new element to the game to have them show up every now and then and franticly try to eat one. We talked about maybe adding some sort of flying hot air ballon, but just ran out of time. The original idea for the game actually started off as you playing as a lighthouse, spotting monsters for ships as they passed bye,  but after a week of working on that idea, we were finding it kind of boring. So we decided to scrap that and start over. We landed on the idea of playing as a monster and smashing/eating ships would be way more fun. The tentacles went through a lot of debate and changes in the final week of production, and I agree need much more tuning and play testing.

The sea shanty was an idea that the came in at start of the creative process and stayed with both versions of the game. All the music and sound was made, written, and performed by our talented sound designer Chris Sensebe.
